This weekend on 28 and 29 April 2018 Paul Strike needs a hand to sort some Caribou spares in preparation for maintaining A4-228 for the AAHC QLD museum.
Here is the original message from Paul:
Hi All, I am looking for any people who may be interested in helping to sort a whole bunch of Caribou Parts. I have 2 shipping containers of parts ranging from generators to wing flaps. The task will be deciding what will be scrapped and what will be kept.
Let me make it clear. This is not a “Commercial Operation”.
There is not a market for DHC4 parts. My plans are really to keep suitable Items to assist those who wish to display or operate aircraft in museums. I do have a relationship with HARS but they are pretty much self sufficient. There are a couple of Radial aircraft in the States who I assist (1 flying and one other).
I do not get paid for anything (in-fact, it costs me to have them) so this is a “Love Project”.
My appreciation for assistance will be a BBQ lunch and Beers at the old 35SQN Bar (that my son and I rescued from disposal) after the work is done. Also, if anyone assisting wishes to acquire something for their “MANCAVE” we can discuss.
LOCATION is Hangar 105 Caboolture Airfield. You cant miss our hangar. We are right next to A4-228.
DATES are 28/29 April 2018 commencing at 0800.
If you can read an EE435 (not a mandatory skill) or simply want to help out, please call me on 0412970855 or send me a PM.
